Flow is a state of mind in which what you are doing is so easy that you no longer have to actively think about it. Your hands move magically, as if by themselves, and you become completely absorbed in your activity. Flow is the sweet spot between being over-challenged and under-challenged, the exact right amount of challenge, a dynamic state in which our brain is completely devoted to what we are doing and is not distracted by anything or anyone. Children know this state, athletes, creative people, fans of computer games, musicians and many others experience flow and draw energy and satisfaction from it.
The team at the Blech.Brut brewery has often experienced this feeling of happiness and has drawn inspiration from it for their latest beer. Flow is a densely cloudy New England IPA that was cold-hopped with Citra and Galaxy hops. The brew is based on a catchy combination of barley, wheat and oat malt and combines notes of oven-fresh oat biscuits with a range of fruity hop aromas. The full-bodied beer brings a lively 6.8% alcohol content and a fruit basket of pineapple, tangerine, apricot and peach into the glass. Spicy yeast, earthy pine notes and a moderate bitterness round off the flow harmoniously.
