Humanity is roughly divided into two camps: the orderly and the chaotic. While some are only relaxed and content when everything is in its place and there is a holy order, others thrive when everything sinks into shambles and creative chaos.
To each his own and beer for all!
We don’t know which category of people the brewers at Gorilla Cerveceria Berlin belong to, but their latest beer proves that they master chaos. A Glorious Mess is a wild mish-mash of Ekuanot, Citra, Talus and Mosaic Lupomax hop varieties, used in copious amounts and delicately blended into a flavorful harmony. In addition to the mass of hops, the New England IPA contains oat flakes, which give the beer a creamy mouthfeel and, together with the malt types used, form a soft base.
The beer presents itself in the glass with a warm peach color and adorns itself with a substantial amount of dense-pored, firm ivory foam. Hops and a special yeast are dominant in both the scent and the taste: A fruity bouquet of peach, pineapple, grapefruit, lime, passion fruit and orange fills the air and pampers the palate. A crisp, bitter finish with green hop notes and sweet fruit harmoniously rounds off the beer enjoyment.
