Wintertime fills us with mixed feelings. We look forward to Advent and the Christmas holidays, long for snowy landscapes and the smell of mulled wine in the city center. We're afraid of nighttime frost and black ice and don't feel like scraping the car windows in the morning. We miss the warm sunshine on our skin, but enjoy the cozy evenings in front of the fireplace. We take advantage of the darkness to sit on the sofa with a cup of tea and a thick blanket and read the stack of books that have sat untouched on the table all summer. We go sledding or skiing, hide from the damp cold in down jackets and celebrate the day when the nights start to get shorter again. A highlight in this ambivalent time of year are the bock beers, which are served promptly in October and warm our body and soul with their full-bodied taste and increased alcohol content.

One of these seasonal delicacies is the bock beer from Schübel Bräu. Their contribution to the winter beer landscape brings joy with a crisp 7.2% alcohol content and is brewed annually between November and February. The brew combines fruity sweetness, delicate smoky aromas, bitter herbs and oven-fresh sponge cake to create a tasty work of art.
