After Lil’ Heaven, Cloud Sourced is the second IPA from Two Roads that has a heavenly reference in its name. This beer plucked from the clouds is a Hazy Juicy IPA with a solid 6.5% alcohol content and such an excellent taste that it catapults you straight to cloud nine.
The hop varieties Cascade, Centennial, Chinook, Citra, Columbus and Simcoe are responsible for the heavenly aroma. The combination of C hops and Simcoe, together with a gentle malt base, forms a taste profile that is citrusy and juicy. The addition of lactose gives the brew the finishing touch and ensures extra creaminess. Cloud Sourced flows into the glass in a densely cloudy old gold and is crowned with a small cap of fine-pored foam. A cloud of citrus scent rises and entices you to take a sip. The taste test reveals a medium-heavy body with gentle carbonation and a wonderfully soft mouthfeel. In a beautiful balance of bitterness and fruity sweetness, notes of lemon, lime peel, grapefruit, orange juice, pine resin and white melon envelop the palate. A hint of caramel and some light grain subtly underline the hop-focused spectacle. The finish is sweet, hoppy and tastes of ripe nectarine.
If you are looking for a particularly juicy India Pale Ale, you should try Cloud Sourced!
