In principle, a brewery is an entire city: a complex of several buildings is home to the brewhouse, brewing plant and bottling plant. Most of the time nobody lives there, but every day a large number of people come together to do their work. Corridors and staircases connect the individual rooms like streets and a cacophony of different noises hovers over the busy hustle and bustle. Kettles whistling, glass clinking, instructions and conversations echo through the halls and everything is bubbling and boiling in every corner. Fragrances fill the air and the rhythm of perpetual progress pulses through the veins of the brewery.
The team at Danish brewery To Øl dedicated a beer to their very own little town. Your City Session IPA is filled to the brim with the most wonderful hops and strong malt and brings a tasty 4.5% alcohol content into the glass. Inspired by New England brews, India Pale Ale pours a cloudy corn yellow from the can and is adorned with a mixed-pore crown of ivory foam.
The urban brew smells of freshly baked biscuits, tangy citrus fruit and fruity hops. The initial sip follows quickly and scores with herbal notes, orange, mango, grapefruit, tangerine and floral components. A gentle bitterness complements the juicy fruitiness and skilfully rounds off the taste.
