At Dupont, this is the Saison Dupont. This most legendary of all Belgian Saisons has been produced in the Brasserie Dupont for more than 180 years and has become a public favourite. It is also a popular export beer that represents Belgian brewing with great success around the world.
The Dupont classic comes from a beer that was brewed for seasonal agricultural workers. It was originally produced during the winter months and then stored in barrels until summer. Today, the Saison is usually brewed all year round and is not only available to the hard-working men and women in the fields.
Saison Dupont presents itself in a warm honey gold in the glass and is crowned with a cap of dense foam. A cloud of floral hops, freshly picked herbs, pink grapefruit and spices fills the air and makes you want to take the first sip. The first sip combines full-bodied malt notes, bread and caramel with tangy hints of citrus fruit and hops. Spicy yeast and a hint of clove round off the taste excellently.
