The beers in the Kasteel range have been part of the core range of the Van Honsebrouk brewery from the very beginning. They represent the art of brewing in Belgium in a classic way and combine the latest brewing technology, contemporary ideas and raw materials from all over the world with the Belgian art of brewing and recipes that have been passed on from generation to generation for centuries. The series consists of classics and serves every taste with its own beer. Each example comes in a neat little bottle with a capacity of 0.33 liters, which underlines the exclusivity and the special character of the beers.
Kasteel is a fine drop for selected moments.
Kasteel Donker is a Belgian quadruple. Quadruple the normal amount of hops, malt, yeast and alcohol, this style of beer is a powerful brew with full-bodied character and substance. The version from Van Honsebrouk brings an incredible 11.0% alcohol content into the glass and combines the pleasantly warm fire with strong sweetness, large roasted aromas, a powerful body and a subtly balanced bitterness. The dominant aromas of the quadruple are creamy caramel, freshly roasted coffee beans and delicately melting milk chocolate. The sweet fruitiness of dried fruit and a nice spiciness round off this extraordinary beer.
