Water and fire are two of the five elements and are exactly opposites of each other. They are opposites and mutually exclusive: in the right proportions, water has the ability to extinguish fire and fire is able to evaporate water. As humans, we are dependent on and fascinated by both to a certain extent. We can stare into the flickering flames of a campfire for hours and love to let our gaze wander over large bodies of water such as lakes or oceans.
The team at Brouwerij De Molen was inspired by the great contrast between water and fire and created a beer that represents the opposite pair in culinary terms. With fiery enthusiasm, passion and dedication, the brewery has created a New England IPA that can quench even the biggest thirst for beer with its drinkable, uncomplicated character. Fire and water come together to form a harmonious whole and give you 6.0% alcohol content and a fresh, crisp, bitter, tropically fruity and lemony taste.
The brew is aptly named Water & Vuur (in English "Water & Fire") and shines in a light, sunny gold in the glass. A stately crown of white foam sits on the cloudy body. The NEIPA tastes of juicy tropical fruits, tangy citrus fruit and a hint of pine resin.
