Brouwerij De Molen is located in the small Dutch town of Bodegraven. Most people here earn their money with cheese: Bodegraven is home to a large cheese factory that has been producing cheese and dairy products for the entire Dutch region for more than 140 years. To go with the cheese, there is beer from Brouwerij De Molen, which until recently was located in the heart of Bodegraven. The brewery was located in an old windmill, but the finished beer was stored just outside of town. This shared location led to a lot of driving: the employees had to drive from the brewery to the warehouse and back again thousands of times before they moved lock, stock and barrel from the windmill to more spacious premises in 2012.
In honor of the great back and forth (and perhaps also to celebrate its end), the team has come up with a beer. Heen & Weer is a tripel with a powerful 9.0% alcohol content and a full-bodied character.
Heen & Weer comes in a fox-red shimmering copper gold and completes its attractive appearance with a fluffy, white foam head. The aroma and taste are characterized by a composition of oven-fresh sponge cake, ripe fruit and caramelized nuts. The sparkling carbonation pearls on the tongue and gives the heavyweight an elegant lightness.
