Even if the Dry & Bitter brewery comes from Denmark, the brewers have concentrated entirely on a different country for this beer: Like A Ghost is a Double Dry Hopped Double India Pale Ale, which is made exclusively with hops from New Zealand.
Spalt, Yakima Valley, Tettnang - hop growing areas can be found all over the world and each region boasts its very own hop varieties. The brewers can fall back on an incredible variety of flavors and are spoiled for choice when it comes to the green gold. The best known hop varieties in New Zealand include Riwaka and Nectaron. These variants are characterized by their incomparable flavor profile and give the beer juicy notes of white grapes and tropical fruit. Perfect for an IPA!
Like A Ghost flows out of the can in a delicate golden amber tone and adorns itself with a fleeting crown of white, airy foam. On the nose, the DDH DIPA presents itself as deliberately fruity: light grapes with a sour sweetness meet apricots, green gooseberries, passion fruit and peaches. The taste is based on the fragrance and inspires with a silky smooth mouthfeel, strong body and a rich abundance of juicy fruit notes. Golden pineapple, grapes, passion fruit and ripe stone fruits form a summery play of aromas, which is rounded off by a touch of freshly mown grass and floral notes of hops.
