Finally there is news from the popular Brasserie Pietra from Corsica. The fans of the brewery had to wait a long time, but now there are two new varieties that enrich the range. The Corsican IPA and Blonde Bio are the two newcomers and two fabulous beer specialties that complement the Biera Corsa wonderfully.
Blonde Bio is a top-fermented ale that is gluten-free and made with barley from purely organic cultivation. The hops used are also grown under the strict guidelines of organic agriculture. Of course, one thing shouldn’t be missing from the list of ingredients: the chestnut flour so typical of Brasserie Pietra. It gives the brewery’s beers their velvety soft texture and special character.
The light in the bundle flows into the glass in the color of sun-kissed grain and also smells like that. A wonderfully malty smell rises from the small crown of snow-white foam, which combines with the aroma of a summer meadow in bloom to create a tempting potpourri. The initial taste reveals a refreshing beer with a good malt base. Aromas of freshly baked bread, creamy caramel and roasted grain caress the palate. A touch of peach joins it, as well as a load of floral hops and a light-footed fruitiness that is carried by the soft carbonic acid.
A summer hit that brings a touch of Corsica home with its light, refreshing style, even in winter.
