When two crazy brewers philosophize about beer, things can get heated and lively. What could be better than a refreshing cool-down? But since you don't always have a shower handy, the idea for "shower beer" was born. Together with David Hertl, we've now been brewing our shower beer for two years. This collaborative brew has a moderate 4.9% ABV and tastes of grassy hops, zesty citrus fruits, and a whole range of different tropical fruits. Zwanzger Brewery & Inn in Uehlfeld: Where beer still has a soul. Some call it nostalgia. We call it uncompromising quality. In a world full of high-tech brewing equipment, we're making a statement in Uehlfeld: genuine craftsmanship you can taste. The brewhouse: Handwork instead of keyboard strokes. In our historic copper brewhouse from 1968, no computer rules, only the knowledge and intuition of the brewmaster. Transmission-driven gristmill, open lautering, or classic decoction brewing. It is this conscious decision for the "slow" tradition that gives our six classic beers their distinctive character. The future in the cellar: Perfection needs space. For us, tradition doesn't mean stagnation, but rather the foundation for new things. With the construction of our new fermentation and storage cellar, we have created a place where state-of-the-art technology protects the maturation process without accelerating it. Here, the beer receives the most important ingredient, one that is often lacking today: time. We store our classic beers for at least eight weeks! The result is a freshness and purity that makes every sip an experience. Twelve generations. One passion. Since 1639, we have preserved the family crest and brewing rights in the heart of the Aischgrund region. Christian Zwanzger continues this legacy today in the 12th generation – with the courage to create specialty beers that surprise and the loyalty to homebrewing that unites.
