When David Hertl took over the beer production for the former Eichhorn brewery in Forchheim, continuing Eichhorn’s tradition was particularly important to him. With the help of the former master brewer Kunner Greif and the recipes passed down from generation to generation, he brews the popular specialties from the Eichhorn house one-to-one. He is thus continuing the brewing activities of the smallest brewery in Forchheim without any gaps, even though the historic brewery in the city center had to close its doors.
A highlight in the range of the Franconian brewery is the light beer. In addition to the brewery and the adjoining restaurant, the Greif family also operated and operates a beer cellar, where the Helle is the most draft beer. No wonder, after all, the fine balance of hops and malt harmonizes perfectly with the hearty snacks in the beer garden. Thanks to the courageous commitment of David Hertl, the tasty light beer will continue to be available in the cellar.
The classic flows into the glass (or the jug) in a clear gold and is adorned with a handsome head of foam. A spicy malt scent fills the air and promises full-bodied beer enjoyment. The first sip delivers immediately: Silky soft and full-bodied cereal notes ensnare the palate and tickle the taste buds with beautiful sweetness and a delicate bitterness that brings subtle roasted aromas. A hint of herbal hops completes the taste profile.
