At Braumanufaktur Hertl, everyone who has grown fond of David gets a beer and is part of the family, regardless of whether they are trainees or mothers. Tobias Leisner not only belongs to the brewing family, but is actually related to David. He is David’s cousin. But not only that: In the brewery, Tobias, called Leisi, is responsible for everything that exceeds the technical skills of a brewer. As a trained bricklayer, Leisi has two right hands who have been helping out since the brewhouse was still a pigsty. literally.
As a thank you for his tireless efforts over the past decade, David dedicated a strong red beer to his cousin. The (beery) Leisi brings 4.5% alcohol content and a copper-red shimmering chestnut brown with a nice foam in the glass. The beer fills the air with the scent of freshly made jam and a hint of caramel. The initial taste follows suit, caressing the tongue with velvety notes of creamy toffee, yeast dough, red malt and crusty bread. A mild bitterness skilfully balances the malt sweetness and closes the beer enjoyment with a finish that tastes of stone oven bread and sun-ripened grain.
If David gives you such a tasty beer as a reward for loyalty and work, the master brewer can also recruit us for his team! When can we start?
Water, barley malt, hops, yeast
