Are you wondering why the winter festival beer from Eichhorn is listed in the Braumanufaktur Hertl range? This is due to master brewer David Hertl’s big heart and his indestructible enthusiasm for beer!
When David found out about the impending closure of the Eichhorn brewery in Forchheim, he could hardly believe it. The traditional brewery has been supplying the small town with the finest beer for almost 250 years and, in addition to the brewery, also ran a restaurant with a beer garden and the Eichhorn cellar, which is well-known throughout the region. Because some of David’s favorite beers come from the Eichhorn house, he couldn’t just sit idly by and watch the end of the Eichhorn beer. He sat down at a table with the boss of the Eichhorn-Bräu and together they decided to save it: Even if the brewery itself can no longer be used in the future, the beers will still be available. David and his team are now brewing the popular Eichhorn beers and will strictly adhere to the well-tried recipes of the Greif family.
Kunner and David treat the good news to a delicious celebratory beer. The Eichhorn Winterfestbier is traditionally served right on time at the beginning of the cold season. This full-bodied delicacy brings 5.5% alcohol content and a full-bodied, spicy and festive drop into your glass.
