Even if the Upper Franconian town of Breitenlesau is unlikely to be known to anyone outside of Bayreuth and the surrounding area, the beer world has already heard of it. This is due to the work of the Krug-Bräus based in Breitenlesau. Chef Konrad Krug is half a brewer, half an artist and no longer only delights the 500 souls of his small community with his tasteful works. The good Breitenlesau beer has got around in the beer scene and is now even sold internationally.
Year after year, fans of the brewery particularly look forward to seasonal beer enjoyment: Just in time for the first cold, darker days at the end of October, the brewery annually releases its fine Breitenlesau winter beer. Konrad Krug has gathered all his creative inspiration to give a real classic from his brewery the finishing touches and has created a beer that goes wonderfully with the cooler season with a velvety-soft mouthfeel, a wonderful variety of malts and fine fruit accents. The winter beer sweetens the gray November days, comforts you over continuous rain and low-hanging clouds and makes the festive Advent season a little bit more festive.
The Breitenlesau winter beer flows into the glass in a strong chestnut brown and has a small crown of white foam on its shimmering red body. Tasty malts dominate in terms of smell and taste.
