The range of products from the Binkert brewery caters to pretty much every taste and offers a wide selection for fans of modern brews as well as traditionalists. Jörg Binkert and his team make traditional beer, brew Franconian and Bavarian specialties, are happy to experiment with the odd thing, have craft beer in their range and occasionally create collaboration brews with friendly craft breweries. We don’t know which beer started the Binkert brewery’s success story, but the original sounds like it laid the foundation.
The Binkert Original is the original among the popular Mainseidla and shines with a fine bitterness and noble hop notes. The drink is brewed with barley malt Pilsner style, a bottom-fermenting yeast and the hops Spalter Perle, Spalter Select and Spalt Spalter. It brings a moderate 4.9% alcohol content to the glass and shines in an almost clear, bright sun gold. A crown of airy, white foam sits on top and emits a bouquet of robust malt, hoppy herbs and spicy yeast. The first sip combines light, gentle malt with strong hops that taste of freshly mown grass, summer flower meadows, straw and lemon peel. A resinous bitterness completes the enjoyment and makes this slim beer a refreshing pleasure for every day.
