Silent Night was yesterday, today we celebrate Shrill Night!
The Kuehn Kunz Rosen brewery is known for its highly aromatic, special beers. It comes as no surprise to anyone that their holiday beer is a spicy winter IPA with very special ingredients. Shrill Night is a fine IPA that contains lots of hops as well as pine needles, allspice and cardamom. A wintery mixture that conjures up a fabulous festivity in the beer.
Shrill Night flows into the glass in a solemnly shiny gold tone and is slightly clouded. A fine, white foam crowns the beer and at the same time smells wonderfully spicy. Cardamom combines on the nose with fruity, citrus-fresh hops and spicy pine resin to create a seductive mixture. The initial taste reveals a medium-weight body with pleasant carbonation. In terms of taste, the beer impresses with great intensity: green hops, tangy citrus fruits, pine resin and fresh herbs storm the palate. Allspice and cardamom add a hearty spice that rounds off the aromatics perfectly. The slight sweetness of the drink turns into a crisp bitterness as the drink progresses.
Schrille Nacht is an extremely successful winter beer that sweetens the Advent and Christmas season with an intense taste and that certain something extra.
