Even before the Franconians even think about suitable premises, guests, decorations, invitations, music and appetizers when preparing for a party, they plan a festival beer. No event takes place without the right beer accompaniment. In spring and autumn, even festival beer is brewed without there being any special events. Many traditional breweries welcome spring and Lent pro forma with a specially designed beer.
Zehnedner from Mönchsambach is one of these breweries. Their festival beer is released twice a year and pours the sprouting greenery and falling leaves with a whopping 5.8% alcohol content. The festive drop presents itself in a copper shimmering red gold in the glass and forms a firm, fine-pored head of foam. A bouquet of ripe grain ears, honey, freshly cut herbs and orange marmalade introduces the olfactory pleasure. The taste test reveals a subtly balanced body with soft carbon dioxide and a round aroma. Soft malt notes meet grassy hops, buttery caramel, white grapes and floral notes on the palate. A dry, mildly bitter finish with grass and citrus notes crowns the beer pleasure.
If you are looking for a crowd favorite for the next party, the Mönchsambacher Festbier is the right choice. The smooth brew delights a wide spectrum of different beer lovers with its harmonious taste.
We wish you a happy festival!
