Nico Döring from the Atelier der Braukünste and Benedikt Steger from Blech.Brut work together. This is excellent news, because the two exceptional brewers are awesome individually. Together they create explosive beers: their latest trick is the French fries & disco series.
French fries & disco sounds like endless summer nights, loud music, good company and fried delicacies that go perfectly with a cold beer.
Handsome Helmut is part of the party. The powerful New England IPA has a whopping 7.2% alcohol content and impresses not only with its attractive appearance but also with its inner values: The juicy IPA is brewed with the hops Citra, Talus and El Dorado and scores with sweet and sour character and plenty of fruit .
The beautiful is presented in the color of creamy blossom honey in the glass. An airy crown of snow-white foam sits enthroned on the naturally cloudy, golden body and exudes a seductive fragrance: a whole potpourri of sweet and sour citrus fruits meets green gooseberries, yellow stone fruits and a hint of oats in the nose. The initial taste keeps the olfactory promise and tickles the taste buds with a cornucopia of juicy fruit notes. Lime, lemon peel, mango and gooseberry harmonize wonderfully with the clean hop notes. The bitterness has been reduced to a minimum and the carbon dioxide is also of the gentler kind. Handsome Helmut delivers an incredibly soft, silky mouthfeel and is extremely tasty.
