Dr. Raptor is an insane genius. He is notorious for his crazy creations, which are pieced together from various individual parts like Frankenstein’s monster. But Dr. Raptor doesn’t experiment with different people’s body parts; his specialty is hop varieties. He juggles the green cones like no other and masters their wild aromas with the skill of a lion tamer. The line between genius and madness is a fine one, and Dr. Raptor dances across it blindfolded and on one leg.
His latest creation is an Imperial India Pale Ale the likes of which the world has never seen before: the hopped monster is made from five different types of green gold and a mixture of New Zealand hops. Amarillo, Chinook, Ekuanot, Mosaic and Simcoe breathe life into the beast and give it not only its breathtaking taste but also a powerful 75 bitter units. The hoppy construct rests on a framework of four different types of malt and an impressive alcohol content of 8.2 percent.
The Double IPA flows out of the can in a magnificent copper gold and is crowned with a considerable amount of hazelnut-brown foam. Its taste is made up of plenty of hop notes and a hint of caramel. Exuberantly fruity, citrusy, crisply bitter, floral and resinous - in short, everything you would expect from a really good India Pale Ale!
