Cherries are something very special: they can only be harvested about seven weeks out of the year and the little red fruits need a lot of sunshine to reach their full sweetness. In spring, the magnificent trees lure us in with a lush bloom and then they sweeten us up in May, June and July. For year-round cherry enjoyment, the Pinta brewers have come up with a tasty alternative to jam, jelly and juice: Kwas Tau, a delicious cherry sour ale.
The deep red sour beer is flavored with the juice of fresh sour cherries and gets its crisp acidity not only from the stone fruit in summer, but also from the use of lactic acid bacteria.
The cherry beer specialty presents itself in a tempting ruby red in the glass and completes its attractive appearance with a small crown of pink foam. The cherry runs like a red thread through the enjoyment of beer and not only has a decisive influence on the colour: the cherry is also the star in terms of smell and taste. The summery scent of freshly harvested cherries tempts you to drink and the fruit plays the first fiddle there too. Juicy notes of fully ripe sour cherries flood the palate, a fruity acidity complements the fruit explosion.
Kvass Tau is a fruity refreshment that we especially like when the sun is shining and the weather is good.
