Anderson’s Brewery from Estonia is known for its unusual creations, and their latest Imperial Stout, Tuju Want Me?, is no exception. This collaboration brew was created in partnership with their Finnish colleagues at Tuju Brewery and, in addition to hops, malt, yeast, and water, features several extra ingredients. The palate-pleasing beer is refined with licorice, chili, and salt. Furthermore, after brewing, the fine brew was aged in wooden casks, which lends the full-bodied aroma a beautiful depth and intense complexity.
Tuju Want Me? packs a hefty 11.5% alcohol into the glass and pours from the bottle in the darkest shade of mahogany brown. A small crown of hazelnut-brown foam completes the appealing appearance. A robust nose of roasted malt, laced with warm spices and a fiery hint of chili, whets the appetite for the taste. The first sip is velvety, caressing the tongue with notes of toasted grain, oak, vanilla, caramel, and spicy licorice. The powerful sweetness is punctuated by a harmonious bitterness and an elegant chili heat. The high alcohol content is skillfully integrated into the flavor profile, delivering only a comforting warmth that spreads throughout body and soul.
Anderson’s Tuju Want Me? is a majestic brew that combines complex layers with a smooth, easy-drinking character. A true delight that makes every moment special!
