This beer was created in the ultimate collaboration of Budapest craft brewers. There is a whole handful of creative craft beer labels in the city’s beer hotspot: Fözdepark is home to several breweries and a true paradise for beer lovers. Now with Mad Scientist, HopTop Brewing, Horizont Brewing and Monyo, four of the local breweries have united in a legendary collaboration and brewed a beer that absolutely does justice to this top-class line-up.
Fözdepark Farewell is a pastry sour ale that is brewed with a whole range of crazy ingredients and tastes like a birthday cake from grandma’s oven. Raspberries, lemon, tonka beans and shortbreads provide the fruity cake notes. These unusual extra ingredients were also brewed and transform the simple sour ale into a fancy pastry sour ale that is addictive.
Monyo’s delicious collaboration beer flows into the glass in a raspberry-red chestnut brown and wears a small pink veil on its cloudy body. On the nose, the sour ale presents itself with strong notes of freshly baked lemon cake, sun-ripened raspberries and a hint of vanilla marzipan. A feast for the sense of smell that continues in taste: sweet fruit notes of raspberry jam meet natural yoghurt, almond biscuits and tangy citrus notes. A touch of vanilla rounds off the play of aromas.
For the next coffee party, we recommend Fözdepark Farewell instead of coffee and cake!
