New England is a vast area on the North American continent that includes six different states. The second settler colony from Great Britain arrived on the New England coast in the 17th century, but before that, various tribes of indigenous inhabitants already lived here. Today, almost a dozen large cities attract visitors, as well as national parks, lighthouses and delicious lobster. The region received international attention when the craft beer movement spawned a subcategory of India Pale Ale that bore its name. The New England IPA, often abbreviated to NEIPA, is a variation on the classic style that uses state-of-the-art techniques to extract the fruity components from hops without increasing the bitterness to dizzying heights.
The brewers from Ale-Mania from Bonn, for example, demonstrated a masterful hand in this undertaking. Their New England IPA is double cold hopped with Citra, Mosaic and Simcoe hops and is bursting with exuberant fruit notes. The tasty brew delivers 6.8% alcohol content and a silky-smooth composition of oatmeal cookies, passion fruit, mango, lychee, grapefruit and pine resin. A touch of caramel and a mild bitterness perfectly round off the successful play of aromas.
If you want to pay at least a culinary visit to idyllic New England, you should grab NEIPA from Ale-Mania!
