If you thought that the three from the round table was a dusty knight story, you should take a look at this version here!
In this case, the 3 from the round table are the extremely creative, at times wild brewers from three breweries. The Hertl brewery has teamed up with the breweries Orca Brau and Freigeist Bierkultur for a splendid group. Instead of jumping around each other with drawn swords and sitting on horses with pointed lances, the boys have come up with a beer. The 3 from the round table is a powerful barley wine with 11.5% alcohol. The basis for this delicacy is an Eisbock made with barley and wheat malt as well as roasted barley and beet sugar. Turning an Eisbock into a barley wine is a daring undertaking. For the exceptional brewers from Orca, Freigeist and Hertl, however, this is not a challenge that cannot be mastered with flying colors. The experiment was successful and we are delighted with the result.
The 3 from the round table is a complex aroma fireworks display with fine depth, multi-layered taste nuances and a lot of oomph. Thanks to its full-bodied sweetness, the Eisbock is a wonderful aperitif and also tastes fabulous when served with dessert. For minimalists, the Eisbock is probably a wonderful dessert in itself.
