Until now, the world of beer liqueurs was a rather colourless one – bland distillates made from old beer with monotonous labels populated the dusty shelves – but that is now over!
The Hertl brewery no longer only enriches the beer market with fabulous beer creations in the craziest facets, but also has higher-proof spirits on offer. The popular hop gin with matching hop tonic is now followed by a beer liqueur: Kathi's Köstlichkeit is a fruity delicacy that is shaking up the scene. It is not just the base beer that provides the flavor, but also a handful of fine extra ingredients. Peach, caramel and vanilla give the noble tipple a fruity aroma and an exotic flavor. The distillate is produced in the brewery itself and, with a lively 18.0% alcohol content, provides warmth in body and soul. Simon Schacht was responsible for the finishing touches. The artist conjured up a dream in pink for the label: In the center, Kathi's delicate hands hold a bouquet of peach blossoms, around the outside is an arrangement of other blossoms, velvety fruits, vanilla pods and ears of wheat. Picturesquely beautiful and the perfect setting for the sinfully delicious drink behind it.
The liqueur tastes best when it has been well chilled beforehand. If you like, you can serve it on ice or put the glasses in the freezer for a few minutes.
