For the Kundmüller brewery from the sleepy little town of Weiher in Franconia, the year 2024 is a very special one: exactly 150 years ago, the first Weiher beer was brewed. This fabulous anniversary was celebrated with a big ceremony in June. The team put together a colorful program for young and old and invited friends from near and far to eat, dance, celebrate and, of course, drink together. Of course, a beer was brewed to mark the birthday. The festival beer was brewed in May and officially tapped on June 15th for the 150th anniversary celebration.
The anniversary speciality is a strong festival beer with a lively 5.8% alcohol content and a full-bodied character. The exquisite malt was made from Franconian grain, the hops grew in the sunny gardens of Spalt. Together, these fine raw materials create a tasty whole that scores with a harmoniously balanced taste, a shiny gold color and wonderful freshness. A masterpiece that testifies to 150 years of brewing experience!
Among the brewery’s guests were brewmasters from all over the world who tasted the festival beer and found it good. More than good, because a large part of the supply has already been drunk. If you want to celebrate and drink with us, you should be quick and secure a few bottles.
Cheers to the Kundmüllers and the next 150 years!
