Islands have a strange effect on people: they seem to calm and ground them. On the island, the clocks usually tick a little slower and everyday life goes at a more leisurely, thoughtful pace. This may be due to the majestic masses of water around or the fact that you first have to take a nice boat trip to even get there. We don’t know, but we know the island feeling all too well.
Even the brewers from Camba Bavaria cannot escape the magic of islands and have turned their longing for island life into a tasty beer.
Their Camba Island is a naturally cloudy New England IPA. The beer specialty gets its wonderful fruit character from the hops: the three varieties Ekuanot, Mosaic and Citra give the beer juicy notes of tropical fruit and also add hints of herbs and citrus fruit. The harmonious aroma is carried by a strong stature with a velvety-soft, creamy mouthfeel. The sun-yellow beer with dense clouds smells invitingly of a freshly squeezed fruit cocktail: passion fruit, grapefruit, papaya, orange and banana exude their summery aroma and also play the main role in taste.
Camba Island is a wonderfully fruity beer with a slim body, tropical freshness, subtly balanced bitterness and complementing notes of fine grapefruit.
