If you want something to be particularly good, you have to be patient.
The brewers from Weldebräu from Plankstadt have shown a lot of patience with their fine bock beer and held back over a period of three months in order to be able to present you with an incomparable beer with a complex character, intense flavor and wonderful aroma. Your Bourbon Barrel Bock is brewed like a conventional strong beer, but does not go directly into the bottle after the brewing process is complete, but into disused wooden barrels that previously held fine bourbon. Over the next 90 days, the beer takes on the exquisite aromas from the wood and develops an elegant flavor profile that combines the sweet, full-bodied smoothness of a bock with the fire of the schnapps.
The beer specialty flows into the glass in a warm copper red and completes its attractive appearance with a crown of creamy, ivory-colored foam. An olfactory poem of malt, honey, bourbon and vanilla rises into the air and almost tempts you to drink. The first sip and all subsequent sips are a velvety combination of gently roasted grains, melt-in-your-mouth caramel, rich spices and earthy oaky notes. The hops deliver harmonious notes of flowers, freshly cut grass and sparkling lime. A bitter, fruity and spicy finish harmoniously rounds off the beer enjoyment.
