The unthinkable happened to the Sudden Death Brewing brewery: A serious fire devastated the brewery’s warehouse in mid-June and contaminated the brewed beer with chemicals. Fortunately no one was injured, but the entire beer inventory was destroyed. The brewery stood in front of a heap of rubble.

However, since the craft beer industry is almost like family thanks to countless collaborations, cuckoo brewers and tap takeovers, friends from all over the world have come to the aid of the brewers. Friend breweries have brewed beers to honor and rescue sudden death, fundraising drives have been launched, and support kits have been sold. With the active support of their colleagues and friends, Ricky and Olli were able to find a new warehouse and start brewing again. They launched a whole range of beers to help them deal with the events of the past few weeks.

From The Ashes We Rise is one of these beers and symbolizes the phoenix-like rise that Sudden Death made after the catastrophe. The powerful Double Dry Hopped Double IPA is a hop-intensive beer specialty with a full 8.0% alcohol content. Three kinds of malt and the aromatic hops varieties El Dorado, Idaho-7 and Amarillo BBC form a tasteful symbiosis. The Extrakick hops comes from the Mosaic BBC variety, which was added to the whirlpool.
