The February beer of the month at Orca Brau is not only a tasty treat, it is also committed to the future. The powerful wheat double buck makes a valuable contribution to environmental protection: Part of the proceeds are donated to the State Association for the Protection of Birds. The association is committed to preserving the natural habitat of countless animal species and uses the money to buy land and water with the Noah’s Ark Fund . The areas are then placed under conservation and given back into the hands of flora and fauna. The charitable brew bears the appropriate name Weissbier for Future and is already in its second edition.
When developing their brew, Orca Brau had strong support from their friends. The Munich brewery Schneider Weisse provided their legendary wheat beer yeast and the self-proclaimed beer doctor Dr. Johannes Sauer contributed hops from his parents’ garden. With combined forces, a wonderfully creamy wheat double bock with fine spice and the heavenly aroma of the hop variety Saphir was created.
