Circus horses are animals that impress us with their artistic performances and make little girls burst into wild raptures in droves. They enter the arena with dancing steps, tossing their braided mane in the air and performing complicated tricks with their muscular bodies. Every circus has a small herd of these majestic hoofed animals in its repertoire, and the Kraftpaule brewery also has one in its stable.
However, your circus horse does not charm with rehearsed step sequences and well-placed whinnying, but with hops in unexpected places and a particularly round taste. Don’t worry, this is not an advertisement for hopped horse salami but for a delicious wheat beer from Stuttgart.
In order to tame the classic according to their own ideas, the brewers spiced it up with a good portion of hops. The golden brew bears a creamy crown of ivory foam on the heavily clouded body and fills the room with a bouquet of ripe banana, spicy yeast and tangy citrus. Much better than the smell of fresh horse manure, that’s for sure! The initial sip follows the positive first impression and brings a symphony of oven-fresh banana bread, grainy wheat, aromatic yeast and clove to the tongue. The hops contribute grassy notes, pear and hints of lemon and green umbels to the aroma play. Delicious!
