Llamageddon is a cinematic masterpiece from 2015. This horror sci-fi film revolves around an extraterrestrial llama that leaves its home planet to conquer other worlds. Instead, it lands on Earth in a dramatic accident. The fluffy, red-eyed creature goes exploring and stumbles upon a college house party. It decides to wreak havoc and begins shooting laser beams from its eyes. People die, others seem to transform into llamas – it’s utter mayhem, which is much easier to bear with a cold beer.
Our suggestion is the eponymous beer from Blech.Brut. Llamageddon is a juicy, fruity, resinous brew with a rich bitterness and a wonderfully cloudy appearance. This West Coast IPA is flavored with Citra, Motueka, and Nelson Sauvin hops. The brew presents itself in the glass with a delicately hazy peach-gold color and is adorned with a head of dense, white foam. A composition of tropical fruits wafts towards the nose, enticing the first sip. The flavor profile consists of tropical fruits, zesty citrus, and spicy pine resin. A crisp bitterness provides contrast and skillfully balances the fruity sweetness.
The bonus: 7.6% alcohol content, which lends a comedic quality to pretty much any film.
