What’s better after a hike than a piece of wheat?
In southern Franconian Switzerland, a group of resourceful brewers have come together to exploit the full potential of their picturesque homeland. Between Weißenohe and Thuisbrunn, a wonderful hiking trail stretches for almost ten kilometers, leading through shady forests, blooming meadows, over gentle hills and through idyllic villages. Five breweries are lined up along this path like pearls on a chain. In order to take advantage of this lucky coincidence, the five breweries founded the Fünf-Seidla-Steig®. This leads from the Weißenohe monastery brewery to the Elch-Bräu in Thuisbrunn and invites hard-working hikers to refresh themselves in the restaurants along the way.
The wheat from the Elch-Bräu, which you can treat yourself to at the end of the walk (or just because) is perfectly tailored to quench your thirst after a long walk. The particularly strong brewed wheat beer impresses with its full body, fresh aroma and an extra portion of hops. The 5.2% alcohol content supports the nutritious body with whimsical turns and ensures relaxation after exertion.
The natural wheat enchants in smell and taste with a symphony of ripe banana, exotic passion fruit, golden pineapple, spicy yeast and citrus-fresh hops.
