Brewmasters generally spare no expense or effort for their creations. However, the team at Sierra Nevada Brewery in California has gone a step further with their latest creation.
Beers made with freshly harvested hops have become incredibly popular in recent years. The green gold goes directly from the hop garden to the brewhouse. Timing is crucial: no more than seven days should pass between harvesting and brewing, otherwise the precious crop loses its freshness and all the effort is wasted. To celebrate this special time and capture the hops at their freshest, most delicious, and most potent, the brewmasters at Sierra Nevada embarked on a monumental road trip. Traveling by plane and car, they covered more than 11,000 kilometers to inspect hop cones from various growing regions. Their object of desire was the Cascade variety, which, in its freshest form, imparts dominant citrus and pine notes to the beer. The team opted for a majestic blend of Cascade, Centennial, and Chinook.
The result is Celebration, an IPA that puts hops front and center in all their aromatic glory. The green gold delivers a juicy kick, offering fresh citrus fruit and spicy pine resin. Delicately melting caramel notes and a luscious bitterness round off this hop bomb into a truly delightful experience.
