Mazatlán is a coastal city in the Mexican state of Sinaloa. Home to nearly half a million people, it borders the Pacific Ocean. Besides its magnificent cathedrals, charming old town, and the 1900s market hall, it’s the picturesque beaches that attract visitors from near and far. Mazatlán invites you to sunbathe, fish, stroll, hike, and wander. The city’s cuisine offers a variety of dishes that showcase the bounty of the sea in its most delicious form. A cold beer is the perfect accompaniment – and the city has a tasty example: Pacífico Clara is brewed in Mazatlán and tastes great not only with aguachile, ceviche, and shrimp tostadas.
This Mexican beer, in the style of a classic pilsner, was first brewed in 1900. Three German brewmasters opened a brewery at that time and enriched the local beer market with their refreshing specialty. The brewery that produced the original Pacífico Clara was acquired by Anheuser-Busch long ago, but the basic recipe for this popular brew has remained the same.
Pacífico Clara, true to its name, pours a crystal-clear, sun-drenched gold into the glass, adorned with a touch of white foam. A gentle aroma of malt wafts from the glass. The first sip reveals a feather-light body with mild flavors: soft grain, earthy herbs, refreshing hop notes, and a delicate bitterness. A truly refreshing thirst quencher!
