In 1991 it was brewed: the first of its kind, the La Trappe Quadrupel. The sweet aromas of ripe banana, vanilla and raisins are supported by a hint of nuts, which gives the 10 percent Trappist beer a very special note. The initial taste is really impressive thanks to the full-bodied, heavy body, the La Trappe Quadrupel spreads a pleasant warmth in the mouth and throat and the soft finish ensures a suitable finish. A really big beer and extremely strong in taste even by Belgian standards.
