In the life of every brewmaster, there are milestones that change everything. In the case of the team at the Spanish brewery Espiga, a beer marked such a moment of development. The influential brew is called Soundwave IPA and was created by Siren Craft Beer. The British brewery's flagship beer not only inspired Espiga's brewers, it changed their entire perspective on hops and their effects. The India Pale Ale laid the foundation for a whole range of fine craft beers and significantly shaped Espiga's signature style.
It's wonderful when creative people inspire each other – it's even better when they work together!
The Espiga Brewery has teamed up with its heroes from Siren to brew a magnificent collaboration. Ondine is a New England IPA that celebrates the connection between the two breweries and their mutual influence in the most delicious way. Named after mythological water creatures, the brew brings the pure magic of hops to the glass. Ondine combines a whopping 6.3% ABV with a tropical richness: juicy aromas of ripe pineapple, golden mango, white peach, pine resin, and citrus zest explode on the tongue. This collaborative effort is wonderfully fresh, exuberantly fruity, and gently bitter—a hoppy firework for all the senses!
