Hoppy Crew is an experimental series by the Polish Browar Pinta, in which the brewers let off steam to their hearts’ content with exciting, new, young and aromatic hops. After the team has taken on just about every sub-category of India Pale Ales, they have now reached the so-called Non-stop Dry Hopped IPA.
The flavourful beer is dedicated to the newcomers to hops and works out the flavor components of every type of hops used down to the smallest detail. Where to cut it is part of the Hoppy Crew Series and revolves around the Strata, Sabro and Talus varieties. Strata and Sabro give the beer powerful notes of roasted coconut, juicy passion fruit and sun-ripened strawberries. Talus brings harmonious components of bitter grapefruit, spicy sage and cedar wood into the play of aromas.
The hoppy work of art flows into the glass in a heavily clouded gold tone and shimmers peach-colored when exposed to light. From the small, volatile head, a fine scent of tropical fruit rises into the nose and tempts you to take the first sip. The initial taste reveals a light-footed body with large fruity notes and a complementary bitterness. The first sips have a juicy taste of passion fruit, gooseberry, grapefruit and melon. Gradually, accents of coconut, floral, hops and freshly baked bread are added. The finale is crisp and bitter and skilfully rounds off the play of aromas.
