For beer lovers, the year has more than four seasons: in addition to winter, spring, summer and autumn, malt enthusiasts also celebrate the bock beer season. The strong strong beer season runs from the beginning of the first cold days in autumn to early summer. Most bock beer tapping takes place at the beginning of November, but there are also variants for the Advent and Christmas seasons, for Lent and the dance into May. Franconia is a real bock beer stronghold. In autumn you can watch three different bucks being tapped every weekend and still miss half of it.

The festivities for tapping the bock beer in Weiherer, at the Keesmann brewery and at Schlenkerla are usually so well attended that you sometimes have to wait an hour for your freshly tapped beer.
