The ater series from the Hertl brewery was created in cooperation with the Würzburg artist duo ATE. David Hertl contributed the beer, Chris and Simon designed the impressive labels.
The two graphic designers met during their studies and have been inseparable ever since. In 2015 they decided to go together professionally and to put their concentrated creative energy into their own company. ATE was born and the two exceptional talents began to make their mark on the world. You can admire the work of the two on business cards, shirts, record covers and walls. Or you can have a delicious beer and have the art delivered with it!
But not only the label is impressive: the beer itself is not stingy with stimuli either. The ater cellar beer flows into the glass in crystal clear amber and is adorned with a magnificent head of foam. The cellar beer is olfactory with light malt, creamy caramel and a fruity hint of hops. The initial taste reveals a medium-weight body with a fine balance of hops and malt. The malt forms the beginning and caresses the palate with soft grain notes, tenderly melting caramel and the aroma of oven-fresh bread. The soft sweetness of the malt then turns into a finish that has both malt and hop notes and is pleasantly bitter.
