Mutti’s sunshine from the Braumanufaktur Hertl is a light beer with a good character and a nice story.
Long before David Hertl became master brewer, he started his first attempts at brewing at home in Mutti Vroni’s kitchen. Anyone who knows Vroni knows that it was not easy for her to have her wild, adventurous son take over her territory. Nevertheless, she jumped over her shadow and opened the kitchen door for David to start brewing. Today, the son is no longer a beginner and no longer brews in the kitchen. He has moved into the former pigsty and has expanded the brewery several times. Nevertheless, his mother is still of fundamental importance, because she not only provides the entire crew with the finest food every day, she also helps out in the brewery wherever she can. She was one of the first to give David a beer of his own, and Mutti’s Sonnenschein is now one of the favorites in the illustrious core range of the brewery.
The classic light enchants - like David’s Mama - with Franconian charm and a disarming down-to-earthness. An abundance of selected malts forms the taste and flatters the tongue with a balanced mixture of sunny grain and hoppy fruitiness. Because Mutti’s sunshine is so easy to drink, we are now offering the delicacy not only in bottles but also in practical 5-litre barrels.
