Down-to-earth, honest and strong - that's Bernd!
Bernd is not the head brewer at the Hohmann brewery in Fulda, but rather a beer creation from that very brewery. Bernd is a Heller Bock with a strong 7.0% alcohol content and a lot of taste. Alongside Enzo, Bianca, Katrin and the like, he completes the varied range of Hohmanns Brauhaus and brings a little strong beer atmosphere to the group.
Bernd presents itself in a deep amber tone in the glass and is almost clear. A very delicate, foamy crown forms and disappears about as quickly as it came. A fine lace doily remains and crowns the beer. It exudes the soft aroma of creamy honey. The pleasant scent of apples stored well into the winter and a touch of freshly baked bread complement the play of aromas. In the background you can smell an elegant, soft whiskey note. When drunk, Bernd impresses with a mild sweetness that brings aromas of soft caramel, candied red fruits and the crust of stone-oven bread. A slight acidity, reminiscent of apple cider vinegar, elegantly underlines the sweetness. The dry finish is a firework of bitter notes and tastes a good portion of alcohol.
Bernd is an exciting bock that challenges the palate with a range of different flavors.
