There are dishes that get even better with an accompanying beer. However, there are also dishes that would not be complete without a beer. One of these is clearly the white sausage. The hearty Bavarian sausage is usually served with sweet mustard, pretzels and a wheat beer. Each component is of elementary importance and the enjoyment is only complete when you combine hearty, tart and sweet into a symphony. Other foods that require a beer are, for example, snacks, Schäuferla or bratwurst.
The perfect accompaniment to Bavarian delicacies is the yeast wheat beer from Staffelberg-Bräu. In addition to the brewery, the traditional brewery also runs a brewery serving Franconian dishes. In consultation with the chefs, the brewers created a wheat beer that goes perfectly with the house’s cuisine. The classic is described by its makers as sparkling and fruity and presents itself in the glass with a beautifully cloudy amber gold. A summery composition of banana and mango rises from the stately head of foam. The taste of the wheat shows cereals, spicy yeast, ripe banana, delicate citrus and stone fruits and floral hops.
Incidentally, we are not the only ones who are enthusiastic about the yeast wheat from Loffeld: In 2013 the fine drop won gold at the European Beer Star.
