The Engel Bock Dunkel is a special treat for anyone who likes malty beers with a multifaceted aroma, a strong character and a little extra alcohol. The strong beer from Crailsheim is based on a selection of different fine malts and flows into the glass in the color of velvety brown porcini mushroom caps. The opaque body is crowned by a densely pored, cotton-soft and firm head of slightly tinted foam that smells wonderfully of dark roasted malt, dark chocolate, toffee, raisins and fine sherry. The first sip reveals a powerful beer with a fiery alcohol content of 7.2%, which provides pleasant warmth in body and soul. Creamy notes of creamy caramel, dried red fruits and gentlemen’s chocolate meet a dominant abundance of malty roasted aromas on the palate. The hops add a gentle herbal note and a bitterness that elegantly balances the excessive sweetness and subtle acidity. A malt-accented finish crowns the beer enjoyment and lingers on the tongue for a long time with a spicy caramel note.
The dark Bock from the Engel beer manufacturer is a rich drinking experience that has convinced not only us, but also the judges of numerous competitions. The brew has been awarded four gold medals and is one of Engel’s absolute audience favorites. Try the classic here with us - maybe you’ll like it too!
