Doink is a derogatory term for an idiot. In English, the term is used when you want to insult someone. The word also occurs in the wrestling scene. Here, Doink is an actor who represents the villains in Clown Masquerade. Now, however, a new Doink enters the ring: Big Doink is neither a wrestler nor a fool.
Big Doink is an intensely hopped Double India Pale Ale. The craft beer owes its tropical, fruity character to the powerfully flavored hop varieties Citra, Cashmere, Mosaic and Columbus. The green gold not only brings an overwhelming fruit note to the beer, but also contributes the strong bitterness and the hints of freshly mown grass.
Gamma’s masterful brew pours into the glass with a creamy, viscous texture and settles into an opaque, massively cloudy copper hue. An airy crown of blossom-white foam sits enthroned on the honey-colored beer, sending out a tempting potpourri of southern and citrus fruits. The initial taste is finely carbonated and tickles the tongue. In terms of taste, Big Doink is a refreshing composition of ripe stone fruit, golden pineapple, floral hops, passion fruit, papaya, pink grapefruit and sun-kissed oranges. A touch of grass and soft malt harmoniously round off the beer enjoyment. The 8.0% alcohol content is cleverly hidden in the taste profile.
