The first and probably best-known beer from Blue Moon is Belgian White. It was the beginning of a success story and is still very popular today.
The beer is brewed in the style of a Belgian Wit beer and contains a lot of extraordinary ingredients. The brewed oat flakes give the beer its wonderful creaminess and the smooth mouthfeel. The orange peel contained in all Blue Moon provides a soft, fruity sweetness and a nice kick of freshness. Coriander, which gives the beer its unusual character, also contributes to the latter. With 5.4% alcohol content, the beer is one of the gentler Belgian beers.
The Blue Moon Belgian White flows into the glass in a cloudy amber tone and is adorned with a small crown of fine, white foam. The American-Belgian beer is fruity, floral and spicy on the nose. The initial taste follows the olfactory first impression: juicy notes of freshly squeezed oranges caress the palate, spicy aromas of coriander, yeast and cloves join them. A grainy wheat note skilfully rounds off the play of aromas and wonderfully complements the mixture of sweet, fruity, lemony and bitter.
To enhance the citrus-fresh aroma of the beer, the Blue Moon Belgian White is served with an orange slice on the edge of the glass. Not only does it look nice, it also takes beer enjoyment to the next level.
