What we find pleasant – just like our tastes – is highly individual. While some appreciate hot showers, others find cold water more pleasant on their skin. Some find temperatures around 20 degrees Celsius perfect, others only feel truly comfortable when it’s 30 degrees Celsius or more. Some people are at home in large crowds, while the mere thought of it makes others sweat. Thai massages, despite their painful parts, are pleasant for some, while others prefer gentler techniques. The team at Les Intenables Brewery revels in the memory of that perfect day in mid-March: The brewers find it pleasant when the still very warm midday sun of spring brushes their skin and the wind carries the scent of countless flowers.
Solar Way was created with precisely this wonderful image in mind. The Double West Coast IPA is a beer-based homage to well-being—even if, with a whopping 100 bitterness units, it’s far from the comfort zone of many beer connoisseurs. This double-dry-hopped brew contains generous amounts of Citra, Nugget, and Strata CGX hops and, in addition to its voluminous bitterness, brings a lively 8.0% alcohol content to the table. The rich brew tastes of freshly grated lemon and grapefruit peel, earthy forest herbs, and spicy pine resin. A particularly pleasant tipple for those who like their IPA classic and crisply bitter.
