Miracles come in all shapes and sizes. There are tangible versions, like the Seven Wonders of the World, which are magnificent in form and known throughout the planet, but also tiny ones. It might seem like a miracle when your baby sleeps through the night for the first time after long, sleepless months, when you find money on the sidewalk, when you see the first crocus peek through the snow on a particularly icy January, when your heel breaks right outside the shoemaker’s shop, or when you experience a sudden healing after a serious illness. Miracles can be religious phenomena, but also entirely worldly phenomena—the word can mean something different to everyone.
The Moon Lark brewery from Poland has its very own miracle brew: Wonder is a so-called Hořký Ležák, a classic Czech Pilsner. Compared to German interpretations, this original version of the style is rounder, softer, and more persistent in its bitterness, delivering a full, sweet, full-bodied malt aroma alongside delicate herbal and floral notes. It is gently carbonated and very drinkable thanks to its silky-smooth texture and harmonious character.
Wonder flows into the glass in a gently cloudy old gold, forming a creamy, fine-pored head of beige foam. The beer smells and tastes of meadow herbs, floral hops, and oven-fresh bread. A robust bitterness completes the experience.
